Download the latest viewer here and unzip the archive locally.
The Viewer comes pre-configured to connect to a locally running hub, so all we have to do is fire it up.
For windows users - run the frontend-console.bat, and for Linux/Mac users frontend.sh (sorry Mac people, you may need to open a terminal to launch it until we get a command file in there too!)
The scripts assume you've got a 1.6+ JVM available on the path - if you need to provide a specific path, edit the scripts accordingly.
With any luck, the Viewer will appear:
Check the configuration table to see if it has successfully connected to the hub:
If you've followed the rest of the steps correctly, when you fire up your application you should start to see log events appearing in the viewer - job done.
If you want to have a play with the Viewer's features without firing up your app, check the Sources menu and check the View demo source option. This will generate some demonstration events which you can use to test out the Viewer.
Additional information and a troubleshooting guide will follow soon - for now there are additional resources at our old site: www.vertexlabs.co.uk. If you are having trouble getting things going, please drop us an email and we'll do our best to get you up and running as soon as possible.
